Steffon Alexander Vann transitioned in to the arms of the Lord peacefully on October 29, 2021.

A time to be born

Steffon was born in Akron, Ohio, eventually relocating to FL where he attended King High School in  Hillsborough County. Steffon had a faithful walk with the Lord giving his life to Christ at an early age at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church and was a founding member of New Covenant Family Center Baptist Church with his parents Pastor Leroy and Sharon Vann. 

A time to serve

Steffon was a seasoned professional comedian in the Gospel industry, with six season appearances on BET’S ComicView, along with performing at the Essence Music Festival and MegaFest.  Steffon was a trailblazer in Christian comedy creating Soulfunny Entertainment along with his wife Tonya, which was a platform for clean, family-friendly entertainment in which Steffon and Tonya created and hosted a nationally syndicated radio show called The Soulfunny Radio Show airing on the Rejoice Musical Soulfood network and clean comedy tours called The Soulfunny Laughter and Praise Tour and Soulfunny Live.

Based out of Clermont, Florida, Steffon Vann was also in the Hospitality industry for over 20 years capping off his career as Director of Sales for Catering and Marketing with Hilton Worldwide. His high standard of professionalism resulted in countless awards and accomplishments including receiving the Hospitality Salesperson of the Year award for Seminole County.

A time to rest

On Friday October 29, 2021 Steffon took his last breath and his soul found eternal rest and peace with God.

Steffon leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife Tonya Vann and children (4) sons Devyn Clark (step-son), Tyler Vann (mom Erica Vann), Isaiah Rivera (mom Lisa Rivera) and Steffon Vann Jr “SJ” and (2) daughters Jasmine Napier (step-daughter, husband Dylan) and Stefanie Vann. Also (4) beautiful step-grandchildren Kailen Epps, Myah Clark, Amelia Clark and Nora Napier. Also survived by his loving mother Sharon Vann and father Pastor Leroy Vann Sr, (4) sisters Sabrina Blatch (husband Todd), Bridgette Vann, Roishawn West (husband Darren), Deborah Vann-Steward (husband Tonie), brother Leroy Vann Jr (wife Shonda) and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and fans. Steffon was proceeded in death by his grandfather Roy Louis Burton and grandmother Willie Mae.

Steffon brought laughter and joy to so many and always reminded everyone to “Love Life & Laugh”!
