Laura Jean Womer, 66, of Clermont, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on 11 December 2022. She was born to parents John W Womer and Roberta G Womer, on 15 July 1956 at Loring AFB, Limestone, Maine.

Laura obtained her GED in 1975. She worked for IRS for approximately 15 yrs. After IRS she worked several small jobs in Chattanooga, Tn, before deciding to attend Medical Billing and Coding in Paducah, Ky. In 2012 Laura moved to Clermont, Florida where she obtained employment with the Florida Department Of Economic Opportunity as an Employment Security Representative before retiring in 2021. She then moved to Missouri to be closer to her son and grandchildren.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as reading, playing cards and doing puzzles. She loved the mountains of Albuquerque, NM and Chattanooga, TN as well as spending time on the beach at Ormond Beach, FL. Laura was a very loving and caring mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

Laura is survived by her son Robert S (Lea-Ann) Webb of Leadwood, MO, mother Roberta (aka Bobbie) Womer, sister Vicki Womer-Sine, brother Steven W Womer, all of Clermont, FL, 5 grandchildren-Caleb Ethan Webb, Matthew Steven Webb, Braedon Ray Meyer, Sophia Chloe Rokan, Katelynn Renee Webb and 1 great grandchild- Syreniti Naomi Rokan all of MO.

Laura was preceded in death by her father John W Womer; in addition to her sister, Johnetta Marie Womer and brother, William Wayne Womer.

Laura had requested no funeral services. The family has entrusted Floyd’s Funeral Home in Minneola, FL with the handling of her cremation. Arrangements have been entrusted to her son Robert, sister Vicki and brother Steven for a Celebration of Life in January of 2023 and the scattering of her ashes in Chattanooga, TN sometime in the Spring of 2023.
