Andrew Manuel Jimenez

Life’s Journey:

Andrew Manuel Jimenez made his journey into Heaven on October 14, 2022. He was 23 years young when he left us on God’s timing, not ours. 

Andrew was born March 18th, 1999 in New York City. He was received with all the love in the world by his mom: Paola; his grandparents: Samuel and Irma Reyes; siblings: Jonathan, Matthew, and Tiffany; aunt/older sister: Hannah Reyes and cousin/nephew: Isaiah. Andrew loved his family very much. 

Andrew was born with bright green eyes and his family nicknamed him “Gato”. Andrew was extremely talented in American football but his passion was always basketball. Andrew brought home endless awards, trophies, medals, and certificates. He was recognized in many sporting events. He was invited to play for the NBA Youth League on an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas. He thrived the best when he was on the court. 

His family moved to Florida when he was very young, however, when he was 22, he moved back to New York where he spent time with his aunt and uncle: Mildred and Edgar Gallego; cousins: Iris and Dominic, and so much more. They all described him as a ball of energy. He was always on go. He often wrestled his uncle, played, and hung out with family. They had several BBQ’s, family outings, and showed him how to experience New York. He lived up to his nickname “Gato”, since their three cats loved Andrew. He got to see how big his family is and how supported he was by his family friends and friends he made out on his own. 

Andrew loved going to the beach with his family. He loved being around his family and didn’t have to do anything special with them. He was a protector. A true friend. He had a heart of gold. He was loved by his mom unconditionally, cared and loved by his grandparents, watched over by his siblings, and the best uncle to Isaiah. He was the most genuine soul. Beautiful inside and out. Overall, he is a son of God. 

Even though his family is going through a storm that doesn’t seem to pass; they rest knowing he is with our God Almighty waiting for us to see him soon.
